Alberto Fernández is on his way to becoming the first former Argentine president to be tried for gender-based violence. The prosecution that initiated the case, initiated by a complaint from his former partner Fabiola Yáñez, requested that Fernández face an oral and public trial, charged with the crimes of injury and threats. Ramiro González presented his opinion, in which he accused the former president of minor and serious aggravated injuries, and coercive threats. The expectation of a sentence before a possible sentence is 15 years in prison.
