Proposed quarry train placed on hold for now
The proposed 26.9-mile railroad line Texas Materials Group sought to carry aggregate material through Lampasas and Burnet counties has been placed on hold. The Surface of Transportation Board, however, confirmed with the Dispatch Record on Friday that the preliminary proposal sent to the STB’s Office of Environmental Analysis had not been completely removed from the books.
