Police investigating death of baby girl from Prince Albert

Major crimes and forensic identification officers are investigating the death of a two-month-old girl. She died in the Saskatoon children's hospital after being reported unconscious at a home in Prince Albert earlier this month.

The Prince Albert Police Service Major Crimes Unit, Forensic Identification Section and with assistance of Saskatoon Police Service Forensic Identification Section, along with the Coroner’s Office are investigating the death.

On June 21, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., the Prince Albert Police Service responded to a residence in the 600 Block of 19th Street West to assist Parkland Ambulance who was attending for an unconscious two month old female. On arrival, paramedics performed life saving efforts on the infant and transported her to the Victoria Hospital.
