- On Saturday, Qulliq Energy Corporation restored electricity to Gjoa Haven after crews arrived to repair a blown fuse, overcoming poor weather conditions that had delayed earlier restoration attempts.
- The hamlet of around 1,500 declared a state of emergency on Thursday as blizzard conditions and high winds threatened the community's water system on King William Island.
- Federal Minister of Emergency Management and Community Resilience Eleanor Olszewski approved a request from the Nunavut government to deploy the Canadian Rangers to distribute drinking water and essential supplies.
- Canadian Army Reserve members are assisting with logistical support in Gjoa Haven, while Rangers are en route to deliver water and supplies to residents amid temperatures around-25 C.
- "We remain in close contact with the Government of Nunavut and will continue working closely with the territory to respond to the community's needs," Olszewski said, with the Government Operations Centre coordinating resource delivery alongside National Defence.
