Seven soldiers in active service of the Romanian Army participated in missions in Congo as mercenaries, according to an investigation by the Ministry of Defense. The active cadres took parental leave and went on various missions as employees of Romanian security companies. The MApN also reported that another 466 soldiers in reserve signed contracts with private companies and worked in Congo.
