Potential solar project in Ottawa County draws mixed reactions

ZEELAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) —  A new solar project could soon be coming to Ottawa County.  RWE Clean Energy recently announced plans to build a 200-megawatt solar power plant across both Zeeland Township and Jamestown Township.  The project, still in its early planning stages, is expected to generate enough electricity to power more than 30,000 homes and businesses.  It would also bring more than 250 jobs during construction and through perma…
