In a statement, the Agency for Integrated Rural Fire Management (AGIF) says that it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Earth Fire Alliance (EFA), a non-profit organization created to promote the FireSat project, to promote the adoption of that system in Portugal. This agreement is considered “a significant advance in the use of cutting-edge technology for the detection and monitoring of rural fires” in the country.
