Porsche AG plans to move the production of its Cayenne model from Bratislava to Leipzig, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported, as the carmaker seeks to utilize spare capacity at its German factories.
Volkswagen Group subsidiary Porsche is not doing well either. It is to be saved. At the same time, the unloaded plants are to be used more efficiently. For this reason, the Cayenne is to be built again in Germany. But something has to change for this.
Porsche CEO Leiters wants to secure the long-term performance of the plant in Leipzig and therefore have the Cayenne produced there in the future. However, he formulates demands on the employees.
