Leon XIV met with two hundred people in need, cared for by the Diocese of Rome, including 35 children, in Borgo Laudato Si’, in the Pontifical Gardens of Castel Gandolfo, for a day of “welcome and fraternity”. To be together, he explained, means to build “a different world”, counteracting a reality fractured by “violence, hatred and discrimination”, and seeking “to eliminate the causes of injustice”.
