At a press conference on the sidelines of a trip to Slovenia, Head of State Emmanuel Macron estimated on Tuesday 21 October that the 2023 pension reform was neither repealed nor suspended, but simply "displaced" over time. These comments led to a lack of understanding in the National Assembly. Sébastien Lecornu had to recall his commitment to suspend pension reform.
