The incident occurred during a Likud toast in Petah Tikva • The police said that the circumstances of the incident are under investigation and wished Castro good health.
At an event organized by the Likud party, attended by senior party officials, security forces on site attacked the 70-year-old photographer. Castro: "As with every event, I came within a few meters to photograph her. That's what photojournalists do. The commander of the event apologized to the veteran photographer, and the circumstances of the incident are being investigated."
Reuven Castro, who came to document the Likud party's toast, was pushed by a security guard for Minister Miri Regev, and attacked by a Border Police officer who caused him to fall to the ground. Castro to Maariv: "I don't intend to file a complaint, the police should handle it"
