Police stop using Palantir

In 2016, news broke that the police had entered into an agreement with the surveillance company Palantir. Their software and “super weapon” Gotham – renamed Omnia by the police – was supposed to help the agency “know what it already knows.” The tool is used to connect information from the many different police records, so that both analysis and investigation can be done faster and with greater accuracy.
