Police quiz Andrew’s protection officers over Epstein links
The Metropolitan Police are contacting former royal protection officers to gather information from their service period amid a review of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's links to Jeffrey Epstein.
- On Friday, the Metropolitan Police appealed to former bodyguards of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the former Prince Andrew, to come forward following the release of millions of DOJ documents.
- Investigators are assessing flight records and airport links to Epstein, with Seven UK police forces probing up to 90 flights at London airports, including 15 after his 2008 conviction.
- The Met is identifying and contacting former and serving royal protection officers who may have worked closely with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and asked them to share relevant observations for ongoing reviews.
- He was held for more than 10 hours before being released under investigation, and the Met says no new criminal allegations regarding sexual offences have been made.
- The Epstein files link Mountbatten-Windsor to flight records and at least one victim, while former Prime Minister Gordon Brown submitted a new dossier urging urgent review and officials said the British government may consider succession legislation.
