Three Shootings in 15 Minutes Rock Sydney
Strike Force Falcon is investigating after videos showed more than 10 shots fired and police said all three homes were linked to organised crime.
- On Friday night, Western Sydney was rocked by three targeted drive-by shootings within a 15-minute span, striking homes in Merrylands and Wentworthville. NSW Police confirmed no injuries were reported during the attacks.
- Detectives from Cumberland Police and Taskforce Falcon are investigating the incidents, seeking the driver of a white Hyundai sedan seen leaving the Wentworthville scene after more than 10 gunshots were fired.
- NSW Police Superintendent Commander Simon Glasser stated all three locations were linked to organised crime. "We believe at least two, possibly three, people involved were in that vehicle at the time," Glasser said.
- Videos posted on SCN WorldStar purportedly show the attacks from inside the vehicle, with captions in Spanish threatening the Almo family and a cartel organisation. Authorities are reviewing the footage as evidence.
- Investigators are urging anyone with CCTV, dashcam, or mobile phone footage to contact them. Glasser stated, "That is a line of enquiry for us, believing these offences have been targeted.
