Large-scale checks were again carried out in the capital in June. Police officers from the Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK), together with staff from the Budapest Transport Centre (BKK) and FÖRI police officers, checked more than 47,000 passengers, while also examining stops, stations and their surroundings, the police and BKK told MTI on Wednesday. Six people were arrested and taken into custody during the operation.
