Poland on Friday signed a deal worth about $6.5 billion to purchase the second batch of K2 tanks from Hyundai Rotem, Seoul's defense ministry said, marking the largest-ever export contract won by a Korean defense contractor.
"Poland is gaining tank production capabilities thanks to this agreement. Of the 180 tanks ordered today under the executive agreement, 64 will be in the Polonized version," said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz today.
