British multi-role Eurofighter Typhoon fighters were scrambled from the base in Malbork today, said the Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. The head of the Ministry of National Defence informed that the machines took to the air, among other things, to "protect the airspace over Poland".

British fighters stationed at Malbork were scrambled for a combat mission for the first time. Earlier, they had observed the Russian aircraft behaving in a disturbing manner.
