On the first day of MSPO, in addition to the premiere of the Heavy IFV technology demonstrator, another event of paramount importance for both the Polish Army and Huta Stalowa Wola took place. This event was the signing of an agreement that finally opens the door to obtaining licensing rights to produce the Mk44/S Bushmaster II cannon at HSW.
Huta Stalowa Wola has obtained a license from Northrop Grumman to produce Bushmaster guns in Poland, as well as to service, repair, and overhaul them. The agreement covers, among other things, the 30mm Mk44S gun, the primary armament of the ZSSW-30 turrets mounted on Rosomaks and Borsuks. Production in Poland is expected to begin within two to three years.
