Letter to the Editor: 'Strong mayor' powers elicit strong concerns
The recently re-elected provincial government has, as one of its first official acts, proposed granting “strong mayor” powers to almost all cities in Ontario, including Stratford. The plan would permit the mayor to act without a majority of council.
