- The petroleum sector announcements included dedication of the Rs 1,490 crore IOCL Lube Plant at Manali in Chennai with 672 Thousand Metric Tonnes Per Annum capacity and BPCL's Rs 3,680 crore City Gas Distribution project for Nilgiris and Erode districts, providing nearly nine lakh families and over 200 CNG stations.
- He inaugurated 89 rural roads spanning 370 km under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and flagged off two Amrit Bharat Express trains, boosting connectivity to Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala and eastern India.
- Beyond immediate rollouts, officials noted the Bharat Petroleum City Gas Distribution project’s environmental benefit over 8 years would equal planting 4 crore trees, Modi said the Indian Oil Corporation's IOCL Lube Plant will meet industry demand and reduce imports.
