- On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the 220-bed ESIC Hospital and development projects worth Rs 18,800 Crore from Surat Indoor Stadium in Gujarat.
- The facility strengthens Gujarat's ESI healthcare network, which covers approximately 20.04 lakh Insured Persons across 34 districts, serving workers in Surat, Navsari, and Valsad.
- Built on an 8.60-acre campus at a cost of Rs 216 Crore, the hospital is located 20 minutes from Surat Railway Station and offers specialized Surgery, Oncology, and 24-hour Emergency services.
- Accusing the Congress of "spreading chaos and uncertainty," Modi claimed voters are dissatisfied in party-ruled states, referencing the recent change of guard in Karnataka.
- The BJP has secured mandates in elections across West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry, while Modi noted voters are rejecting the opposition following recent losses in Himachal Pradesh and Haryana.
