- On Thursday, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas confirmed India's petroleum and LPG supply remains fully secure with all retail outlets adequately stocked, while the government increased commercial LPG allocation to States and Union Territories to 70% of pre-crisis levels, up from 50%.
- Recalling the "Team India spirit shown during the pandemic," Modi appealed to state governments to ensure uninterrupted essential commodity supplies, with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Cabinet Secretary T.V. Somanathan present establishing a Group of Ministers for coordination.
- Cabinet Secretary Somanathan will soon hold a separate meeting for poll-bound States including Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry due to the Model Code of Conduct, while Modi urged States to accelerate alternative energy sources and strengthen agricultural planning for the Kharif season.
