Driver died in M5 'high speed' car crash after taking heroin

Summary by Ground News
Richard Ede, 55, was driving his car on the Devon motorway on June 12. He unintentionally collided at 'high speed' with a car in front of him. It caused his vehicle to hit a safety barrier and roll several times. The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured other than suffering from whiplash. An inquest on March 30 heard that Mr Ede was conscious when paramedics arrived. He was taken by land ambulance to Exeter Airport where he continued to be treated. However, his condition deteriorated and he passed away before the flight.
