- Emergency crews extricated the pilot, an elderly man, and both he and the woman in her 40s were taken to local hospitals and reported in stable condition, and Rex Richardson, Long Beach Mayor, said `The good news is it could have been a whole lot worse`.
- Authorities say the cause remains under investigation, and local broadcasters including NewsChopper4 and AIR7 captured aerial footage of the plane in the park.
