On Tuesday, 7 October, Arkema France presented to the Social and Economic Committee (SEC) "a project of evolution of industrial activities" at the Pierre-Bénite site, providing for the closure of two "historical lines of production of fluorinated gases".
The French chemical group Arkema announces the closure of two fluorinated gas production lines at its site in Pierre-Bénite, south of Lyon. About 50 jobs are affected by this reduction in activity.
Arkema announced yesterday in CSE the closure of two fluorinated gas manufacturing plants in its historic Pierre-Bénite plant, located in the Lyon chemical valley. The group states that it has lost its only two customers and is focusing on fluorinated polymers with higher added value.
