Person fatally electrocuted along Blue Line in West Town on North Side

A person was apparently electrocuted after coming in contact with the electrified third rail in the Blue Line subway, suspending service Friday morning on the North Side, officials said. The person was removed from the subway tracks in the 500 block of North Milwaukee Avenue by Chicago fire department staffers and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he died, according to the fire and police departments.
