PAWS of Nome to suspend animal rescues following change to airfare agreement

This story has been updated with a comment from Bering Air.  A Nome-based nonprofit animal welfare organization is suspending animal rescues in Western Alaska following an unexpected change in its airfare costs.  Since its inception in 2013, PAWS of Nome has offered animal rescue and welfare services for communities across the Bering Strait region.
