MONACO, JUN 28 – Paul Pogba returns to professional football with AS Monaco after an 18-month doping ban and Juventus contract termination, signing a two-year deal to compete in Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
- On Saturday, 32-year-old French midfielder Paul Pogba joined Ligue 1 club AS Monaco on a two-year free transfer deal.
- Pogba's move follows his contract termination with Juventus in November 2024 after testing positive for the banned substance dehydroepiandrosterone .
- He was initially issued a four-year doping suspension in early 2024, but this penalty was shortened to 18 months on appeal, enabling him to return to competitive play by March 2025.
