Patriots Open 21-Day Practice Window for WR A.J. Brown
Mike Vrabel said Brown can return to practice after missing four games with a high-ankle sprain.
On Wednesday, the New England Patriots opened the 21-day practice window for wide receiver A.J. Brown, head coach Mike Vrabel announced to reporters.
Brown sustained a high-ankle sprain during the Week 1 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on September 9, forcing him onto injured reserve and sidelining him for the last four games.
The three-time Pro Bowl pass-catcher has recorded 527 receptions for 8,055 yards and 56 touchdowns across his career, while New England's offense has averaged 37 points over the last two contests.
Offensive tackle Marcus Bryant will also have his 21-day practice window opened, while Vrabel noted the team will wait until the weekend to determine the status of TreVeyon Henderson and Will Campbell.
Sunday's Week 6 game against the New York Jets may be a long shot for Brown's return, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, who noted the team is likely taking a cautious approach.
