Report: Broncos S Talanoa Hufanga (Ankle) Out Multiple Weeks
Fowler said the former All-Pro could miss 2-3 weeks and likely sit out Thursday night against Seattle.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported Wednesday that Denver Broncos safety Talanoa Hufanga is expected to miss two to three weeks after sustaining an ankle injury during Sunday's 23-17 win against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Through five starts, Hufanga has anchored the 3-2 Broncos defense with 23 tackles, two interceptions, one sack, and one forced fumble, earning second-team All-Pro honors last season.
Special teams ace Devon Key will step into the starting role alongside Brandon Jones for Thursday's game against the Seattle Seahawks, though Denver also faces the absence of cornerback Patrick Surtain II.
The Broncos prepare to host the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday before traveling to Arizona and facing the Kansas City Chiefs, with both Denver and Seattle entering at 3-2.
Broncos coach Sean Payton emphasized on Tuesday that turnovers are "purposeful" for momentum, a standard the team must maintain despite an offense averaging just 269 total yards per game.
