Many employees look forward to a hefty paycheck at the end of May, when holiday pay is also deposited. Part-timers and minimum-wage employees in particular can expect more holiday pay this year, according to calculations by HR and payroll service provider ADP.
Many employees are receiving more holiday pay this year, but far from everyone benefits. Due to new tax rules, the extra amount sometimes actually turns out to be lower.
For many Dutch people, it is a moment to look forward to: holiday pay. Unfortunately, this extra payment turns out to be lower for many employees this year than in 2025. The differences also vary widely. While one person has to absorb a loss of 8 euros, another actually receives an extra 200 euros.
