Palace officials sue Emir Sanusi II, others over eviction

KANO STATE, NIGERIA, JUL 13 – Nine senior officials allege illegal eviction and property demolition at Kano Emir's palace due to loyalty to the deposed Emir Aminu Ado Bayero, amid ongoing emirship dispute.

Nine senior palace officials have filed a lawsuit against the 14th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, and 12 others over alleged illegal eviction and demolition of their residences within the palace. The suit, numbered K/M1607/2025, is before Justice Musa Ahmad of the Bichi Judicial Division, Kano State.
