In the largest city of Vorarlberg there is a sensation: for the first time since 1945 there is a SPÖ mayor in Dornbirn. Markus Fässler was able to win the final election against ÖVP candidates Julian Fässler with 58.13 percent of the votes. "Indescribable", was the first reaction of the new mayor. Fässler announced his resignation on the election Sunday.
