Over 50 animals have been rescued from deplorable conditions thanks to the help of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Animal Crimes unit and Animal Safe Haven (MASH) crew. On Saturday, authorities seized over 50 animals, including horses, camels, peacocks, rams, goats, sheep, tortoises, a cockatoo, a bull, and even a zebra, from heartbreaking conditions in the Rio Verde Foothills, northeast of Scottsdale.
