At least 24 killed in bandit attack in northwest Nigeria, residents say
Security forces arrested eight suspects and killed others after the assault, while a rescued businessman escaped and hostages were meant to pressure the government.
- Between 3pm and 4pm on Wednesday, armed bandits invaded communities in Talata Mafara, northwest Nigeria, targeting residents as district representative Nasiru Lauwali told AFP. At least 20 people were killed in Zamfara State village attacks on July 23.
