Over 18K patio swings sold at Costco recalled after 8 injury reports
Consumers should stop using the swings and request free replacement hooks after eight reports of seats detaching from the frame.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall on May 14 for 18,500 Agio Menlo Woven Patio Swings sold at Costco after reports that seats detach from the frame during use.
Eight documented reports of swings separating from the frame caused injuries to users' heads and arms, with detaching seats posing a "risk of serious injury or death" from falling.
Costco sold the recalled units, identifiable by serial number 1934256, between February 2026 and March 2026, with prices ranging from $549 to $649.
Consumers should stop using the swings "immediately" and contact World Bright International Limited to receive free replacement hooks and installation instructions to resolve the defect.
World Bright issued a voluntary recall notice, stating, "On behalf of ourselves and Costco, we want to thank you for your support and cooperation, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.
