- Voters across Osun State cast ballots Saturday to elect the next occupant of the Bola Ige Government House for a four-year term, with 15 political parties on the ballot including incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke.
- Candidates Adesina Adeyemi-Doro of the All Progressives Grand Alliance and Simon Adewale of the Allied Peoples Movement withdrew, with Adeyemi-Doro endorsing All Progressives Congress candidate Bola Oyebamiji while Adewale supported Adeleke.
- In Osogbo Local Government Area, the Accord Party polled 57 votes against 43 for the APC, and DAILY POST reported Adeleke secured victory at his polling unit.
- Reports of intimidation, vote-buying, and other electoral violence marred the process in some areas, though voting proceeded successfully in many parts of Osun State as collation continues.
