FULTON COUNTY, GEORGIA, AUG 11 – Sen. Jon Ossoff's investigation found 14 credible reports of mistreatment of pregnant women and 18 of children in ICE detention centers, highlighting ongoing human rights concerns.
- Last week, Sen. Jon Ossoff, U.S. Senator from Georgia, released a report alleging over 500 credible reports of abuse in ICE detention centers, including 14 accounts of pregnant women and 18 involving children.
- The office began its review earlier this year as Sen. Jon Ossoff, U.S. Senator from Georgia, launched the investigation on Jan. 20, 2025, to measure abuse since President Donald Trump’s second term.
- Conducting visits to six detention facilities, Ossoff’s team documented 41 credible reports of abuse and interviewed dozens of witnesses.
