Oscar Bobb Lifts Fulham Out of Relegation Zone with Late Winner at Coventry
Oscar Bobb scored his first Premier League goal for Fulham in the 80th minute, securing a 1-0 victory over Coventry that lifted the Cottagers out of the relegation zone.
Fulham's win followed a recent 1-0 victory against Hull, easing pressure on manager Alvaro Arbeloa as both teams entered the match struggling in the bottom three.
Josh King hit the post for Coventry in the 18th minute, and Alex Iwobi sent a wild follow-up effort high and wide before Bobb broke the deadlock in the 80th minute.
Coventry suffered a major blow when defender Bobby Thomas hobbled off before the hour, replaced by teenage Manchester City loanee Stephen Mfuni as manager Frank Lampard's side remains second-bottom.
The defeat brought the CBS Arena back down to earth after Coventry's 4-1 win over Newcastle, with late pressure from Matt Grimes blocked as hosts failed to trouble goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
