Vijay Alleges DMK-AIADMK-BJP Collusion, Claims POCSO Case Against Veeramani Was ‘Buried’
Vijay said the DMK buried the case history and accused it of corruption as he campaigned for the October 6 bypoll.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay accused the DMK of corruption, charging it with colluding with the AIADMK in the case of abuse of girls by granite baron R Veeramani.
Addressing a campaign for the October 6 bypoll necessitated by the resignation of former AIADMK member K Maragatham Kumaravel, Vijay alleged the crime was buried during the previous DMK regime.
Alleging a "secret understanding, collusion" among political parties, Vijay challenged DMK leader Stalin to "open your mouth" regarding the abuse case.
Emphasizing his personal stance, the CM noted he previously tolerated insults toward his own mother but could not accept obscene remarks about "my sisters and mothers in Tamil Nadu."
Separately, the government expanded the Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Free Breakfast Scheme, allocating an additional Rs 217.63 crore to reach 15.30 lakh students across 15,454 schools.
