- Toronto police arrested Scott on Sunday on an out-of-town warrant after a Sault Ste. Marie Police Service investigation; he faces assault and assault with a weapon charges.
- Scott was released on $5,000 bail with conditions barring contact, within 100 metres, and weapons; he must return to court on October 22, 2025.
- He remains an MPP despite being ejected from the Progressive Conservative caucus, the Ontario NDP called for his immediate resignation, and a planned media event was cancelled on Monday as Ford said, `I was informed literally in the parking lot, as we were going through here`.
- Scott was elected on Feb. 27 this year, winning by 118 votes and previously worked in Premier Doug Ford's office and with Ross Romano.
