TRAGEDY in Slovenia: a father died and his child was seriously injured after falling into a deep ravine near the famous Savica waterfall.
On Saturday afternoon, a family of four from abroad visited the Savica waterfall. The seven-year-old boy wandered away from the rest area where they had stopped, fell into the deep water and was seriously injured. The 44-year-old man followed him, also fell into the deep water and died.
Mountain rescuers prepared both of them for transport, and the on-call team transported the injured child by helicopter to the Ljubljana University Hospital.
