A recent poll published by The Guardian reveals that the faith of young Europeans in democracy is declining. Although 57% of young people in Europe believe that the democratic system is the best, the figure has fallen from 2021. In Spain, for example, around 20% of young people interviewed would prefer a more authoritarian, even military, government.
A survey carried out in seven countries of 6,700 people between 16 and 26 years of age shows great distrust in the democratic system and in national and European Union institutions. Read
