An out-of-control vessel caused the temporary closure of the Crandon Park Navy in Key Biscayne. An adult was transferred by helicopter to a trauma center.
This Saturday, the Crandon Park Navy was temporarily closed due to a water accident, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office. According to the Miami-Dade Fire Department (MDFR), a boat would have lost control around 10 a.m., causing rescuers to start a search and rescue operation. All the people on the boat were rescued. An adult was flown to a local trauma center with serious injuries.
