One dead after freight trains collide in Munich

Two freight trains collided on a railway bridge in Munich, Germany, on Saturday, sending two wagons plunging about 5 meters onto the street below.
Emergency services were alerted to the collision in Munich's northern district of Milbertshofen at 1:40 a.m., with about 60 first responders dispatched to the scene.
The derailed wagons fell about 5 meters from the bridge and carried no cargo, according to German authorities, posing no threat to public safety.
Local authorities confirmed one fatality in the crash, while there were no reports of anyone else being hurt in the incident.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation, and the street beneath the bridge has been closed while recovery and clearing operations continue.
