Oil prices are rising markedly on Thursday after the fall the previous day.
Oil prices rose in early Asian trading today amid continued concerns about Middle East supply. Brent crude futures climbed $1.33, or 1.33 percent, to $101.53 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures gained $1.11, or 1.26 percent, to $89.39. Prices had fallen at yesterday's settlement after the International Energy Agency agreed to accelerate the release of crude oil stockpiles and prioritize diesel supplies.
At 1008 GMT, Brent's futures earned $1.22, or 1.21%, at $101.80 per barrel.
