NASCAR Results for Sonoma Race, Full Finishing Order
The Trackhouse Racing driver earned his second win of the season and moved into 14th in the standings, inside the playoff cut line.
On Sunday, Shane Van Gisbergen won the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway, leading 74 of the 110 laps. The New Zealand driver held off Toyotas driven by Chase Briscoe and Ty Gibbs to secure his second victory of the 2026 season.
Sonoma served as the opening race for the NASCAR In-Season Challenge, a five-week bracket-style competition where all 32 drivers compete for a $1 million prize. The next round takes place in Chicago next weekend.
Van Gisbergen's eighth career Cup Series win tied Tony Stewart, NASCAR driver, for second all-time in road course victories. He also tied AJ Allmendinger, NASCAR driver, for the most combined road course wins across NASCAR's top three touring series at 14.
The win propelled Van Gisbergen up three spots to 14th in the standings, moving him inside the top 16 drivers eligible for the playoff series, known as The Chase. Eight races remain before the playoffs.
Dusty Baker, a three-time Manager, served as the race's honorary starter, giving the 'Start your engines' command. NASCAR tracks continued honoring the late Kyle Busch, who passed away on May 21 at age 41.
