Donald Knapp, 66 of Kingsport is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of burglary, all felonies, according to a statement from the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office.

A man faces several charges after Sullivan County investigators said he came to a home in Kingsport armed with an ax. A report said Donald Knapp, 66, arrived at the house in the Bloomingdale area just after 3 a.m. while the victim told them Knapp attempted to break down their front door with the ax.
