NSC MP Diederik Boomsma is not putting himself forward as a rival candidate for the leadership of his party. In doing so, he accepts the choice of the party board for Eddy van Hijum, outgoing Minister of Social Affairs. Boomsma writes on X: "I would have liked to become NSC list leader, but not without the support of the board/cabinet, etc."
