Notting Hill Carnival will go ahead following a cash injection of almost £1 million in extra funding.

This year's event will be held over the August bank holiday weekend. A review had identified "critical public safety concerns" around crowd safety that needed additional funding. City Hall, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and City of Westminster have now provided the cash.

Notting Hill Carnival will go ahead after nearly £1m in additional funding has been sourced. The event, which will take place over the August bank holiday in Notting Hill, has been provided with the extra funding by City Hall and the councils of the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea and City of Westminster. The
